Take a look at the RSA and the Student Design Awards! Deadline March 201

What is the RSA ?

If you haven’t heard of it—it stands for the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce and is in London. The mission of the RSA is to is to enrich society through ideas and action.  The RSA has a rich website of information on design, action and research.  As fellow educators you may be interested in the RSA Student Design Awards.

The RSA works closely with industry partners to develop the briefs, we help colleges and universities embed them in their curricula, and we support participants through workshops and mentoring. Winners are rewarded with cash prizes, paid industry placements and complementary RSA Fellowship to kick-start their careers. The RSA Student Design Awards is a global curriculum and annual competition for students and recent graduates run by the RSA, a globally renowned charity committed to finding innovative, practical solutions to social problems.

Contact Sevra.Davis@rsa.org.uk for more information.

There is support thru presentations  and workshops for students and faculty either in person or via video. The workshop programs encourage the development of innovative design-thinking, collaboration and tangible skills.
