AIGA Boston is pleased to announce our first 2025 DE5IGN Fridays speaker Jeff Grantz. DE5IGN Fridays is a short, semi-weekly creative-community-powered webinar-style virtual salon sponsored by the Boston Chapter of AIGA. DE5IGN Fridays was launched with the goal of elevating and celebrating design in our community. Bring your questions, curiosity, and lunch for a quick dose of design inspiration.

Jeff Grantz is the director of Creative Technologies at Design Communications, Ltd in Boston. He is the former owner and director of the creative technology studio Materials & Methods, as well as founder of Boston's Nighttime Contemporary Arts Festival "ILLUMINUS." Jeff attended the Rhode Island School of Design where he later taught in the departments of Industrial Design, Interior Architecture, and Foundation Studies. Jeff has designed and facilitated digital media installations for the Boston Convention Center, Converse’s World Headquarters, Royal Caribbean cruise ships and more. As founder and director of the ILLUMINUS festival, Jeff led what has become Boston’s largest contemporary digital arts festival, showcasing the intersection of science, art, and technology as well as the power of creative intervention in public spaces.
