Our panel features experienced professionals from the industry who will share their expertise on effective networking strategies and job search techniques.

This will be a great opportunity to gain valuable knowledge, ask questions, and connect with other creatives in our community. Whether you are just starting out or looking to advance your career, the goal of this discussion is to provide you with the tools and confidence needed to succeed.

MEET OUR PANELISTS:

Lauren Horwitz

Lauren Horwitz is a Group Art Supervisor at DDB Health New York. She has 13 years of experience in the creative industry working on marketing for renowned brands such as Nerf, Star Wars, OREO, Sour Patch Kids, Tabasco, Perdue, and non-profit organizations like Meatless Monday, as well as various healthcare brands.

Rob Davison

Rob Davison is Creative Director at Boston University’s award-winning internal creative agency. His team’s responsibilities range from creative strategy and brand development to marketing writing and advertising. Previously Rob held senior creative leadership roles at Raytheon Technologies, MathWorks and Northeastern University, where he led the creative development of national campaigns and initiatives. Rob serves on the Alumni Board of Directors at Massachusetts College of Art and Design where he is also an Assistant Professor.

Brian Pope

Brian Pope is a creative professional who now helps creatives with their professions. As a recruiter for Creative Circle, a national specialized staffing agency, he’s particularly interested optimizing portfolios and resumes, having reviewed literally thousands over the years. Brian began his career as Designer and Art Director for over 10 years at companies including Karmaloop and EF Education, and for agencies including Captains of Industry and Arnold Worldwide. Brian has given talks, served on panel discussions and sat on portfolio reviews for the AIGA, and numerous design programs and organizations including the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, Pratt, Cooper Union, Behance.net, Rodeo Software, California College of Art, Boston University, Lesley University, Tufts, Gordon College and many others. He’s a father, husband, foodie, and aspiring woodworker.

Yeri Portillo

Yerri Portillo is a Senior Product Designer with 5 years of agency experience shaping standout digital experiences for startups and enterprises.

Bill Fleming

Bill Fleming is a business consultant for design firms—graphic, interactive, product, and architects. His work includes staff development, operations, marketing, and financial management. For more than 30 years, he has been a business advisor and marketing strategist for hundreds of design businesses—from solo-practitioners, to micro companies with less than 10 employees, as well as small businesses of up to 200 employees. Bill is also a design educator, teaching Professional Practices in Design at Lesley University, which includes career development, job hunting, professional networking, and personal branding for designers—as well as the nuts and bolts aspects of design, such as project management and legal matters. Cindy Rivet

Cindy Rivet is a seasoned Executive Producer in the commercial advertising world and brings her extensive production expertise to the overall planning and operations at Adventures in Art. She has produced multimedia campaigns for some of the most prestigious global brands, including American Express, IBM, IHG, Samsung, Tiffany, Unilever and The Coca Cola Company. During her tenure at Ogilvy, she shaped the content production landscape and was crucial in creating and building a top level Integrated Art Content Department, which was a key player in the new multi-platform paradigm.

Elizabeth Lucas is a senior-level integrated content producer with a unique blend of experience from both brand and agency settings. Much of her career was spent at Ogilvy, where she worked on global brands such as IBM, American Express, Gap, Tiffany, and Lenovo. Recently, Elizabeth has taken on long-term contract assignments with Meta Reality Labs, Airbnb, and Zeno Group.
