2015 Stephen D. Paine Scholarship Recipients Announced
Established in 1999 by the Boston Art Dealers Association, The Stephen D. Paine Scholarship is designed to support students who are entering their final year in studio art programs at colleges in the city of Boston. As young artists conclude their undergraduate studies, the Boston Art Dealers Association (BADA) extends financial assistance in order to support their commitment to the making of art. The scholarship is established in memory of Stephen D. Paine who was passionate about the visual arts and dedicated to supporting arts education through his involvement with numerous Boston-area institutions.
Suffolk University Gallery is very pleased to present The Stephen D. Paine Scholarship Recipients 2015 exhibit. The exhibit will run from February 5 – February 26, 2016. There will be a reception for the artists on Friday, February 5 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.

The recipients work in a range of mediums and it is exciting to recognize this group of young artists as they continue with their education. The juror this year is Christopher Bedford, Henry and Lois Foster Director, Rose Art Museum, Brandeis University. The exhibition, organized by Suffolk University Gallery director Deborah Davidson, features the work of six student artists.
