Group Facilitation Workshop: Learning What Matters

Sorry, the workshop is now sold out.

In the world of design, qualitative research methodologies are well codified, taught, and practiced. However, the foundational facilitation skills used with these methodologies are not always given as much attention.

In this workshop, we’ll learn and practice a variety of deceptively deep facilitation skills and techniques ranging from active listening to body language awareness, skills for making different learner types speak more and even skills for getting over-active participants to speak less. All of these techniques can help us to be more effective researchers, managers, and people.

Activities:

  • Active listening, question types, and reflective statements
  • Body language awareness
  • Getting participants to step up or shut up

Who should attend:
Designers
Researchers
Anyone looking to improve their facilitation skills
