Our Mission: AIGA advances design as a professional craft, strategic advantage and vital cultural force. As the largest community of design advocates, we bring together practitioners, enthusiasts, and patrons to amplify the voice of design and create the vision for a collective future. We define global standards and ethical practices, guide design education, enhance professional development, and make powerful tools and resources accessible to all.

Your AIGA Boston board members have been busy developing activities that advance these ideas. Things like:

Design For Good
A passion-driven initiative to implement and teach, design thinking, for sustainable, social change

Design Exchange Boston
A conference that creates fertile ground for cross-pollination between designers of all disciplines

Emerging Ideas
Events that leverage a range of timely, impactful topics and studios working on new technologies, innovations and approaches to the design profession

In-House Design
Activity that addresses the unique opportunities and challenges faced by this unique community

Mentoring Initiatives
Giving college students and emerging professionals the opportunity to interact with professionals in the field

New Voices, Unique Visions
A design competition for students

Join us at Moksa in Central Square on February 4th for our launch party while we raise a glass to our local design community and celebrate a new year, share details of what you can expect from each of these initiatives, and encourage you to volunteer to make these ideas a reality. We’re nothing without you!
