New England Leaders Breakfast
Tue, May 1st, 7 -10 am, The Westin Boston Waterfront, 425 Summer Street, Boston
Join IIDA New England as Neil Gershenfeld, Director of MIT's Center for Bits and Atoms, explores the social and business implications of a change so monumental, that it will transform the way we live. Imagine a future in which we can all create the objects we desire and the kind of world we want to live in. Gershenfeld not only knows how such a future might come into being, he's working on the very technology that will make it possible. What will be required of innovative business leaders in a world where information can be radically manipulated, reassembled and made physical? If information can control physics, then with digital fabrication anything that can be represented in bits can be manufactured in a small desktop factory. But the implications for the design industry, and businesses everywhere, go beyond instant customized fabrication or holographic environments. For registration and payment questions please contact Jocelyn Pysarchuk of IIDA International at 888-799-IIDA x 5140 or jpysarchuk@iida.org or visit www.iidane.org.
