The professional association for design. Boston Chapter

Step 1: Submit Your Work

1. Eligibility

We invite all undergraduate and graduate graphic design students to participate in this juried show. School projects, internship and pro bono work created between August 2008–October 2009 are eligible. Students must be currently enrolled at an accredited community college, college or university.

2. About submissions

COSTS

AIGA Members: $5 for a single entry or series
Non-members: $15 for a single entry or series
(Students can enter up to 3 single entries or series)

A single entry is a single piece, such as a book cover, poster, or package. For instance, if you submitted three single entries, and you’re a member of AIGA, it would cost $15 total ($5 per entry). If you’re not a member of AIGA, it would cost $45 ($15 per entry).

A series has multiple pieces that all work together as part of a theme or design solution (such as a stationery system). Pieces submitted as a series will be judged as a single entry.

If you want to enter more than one single piece or series, you need to complete Step 1: Submit your Work and then Step 2: Payment for each submission. We apologize for the inconvenience, but our system isn't set up to handle multiple submissions at once.

Entries will NOT be returned. AIGA Boston will ONLY accept digital files uploaded through this form. DO NOT send actual printed pieces—they will be disqualified.

3. Submission categories

The following lists the "code" for each category that you will use when naming your files:

ID (Identity)
PST (Posters)
PUB (Publications/Books)
PKG (Packaging)
MOT (Motion)
WEB (Web/Interactive)
SER (Series)

4. File naming guidelines

File names for each entry must include the category code (see above) and last name.
For example: ID_yourlastname.jpg

If you are entering a series with multiple jpgs, number each individual file with the category code; for example:
SER1_yourlastname.jpg
SER2_yourlastname.jpg
SER3_yourlastname.jpg...

5. Submission guidelines

All entries except motion and web/interactive entries must be submitted as:
72 dpi, RGB, jpg
Vertical images no larger than 1200px high
Horizontal images no larger than 1200px wide

Motion Entries

If you are uploading JPGs, please be aware that the system could take a minute or two to complete your upload.
